How do I activate Swish?

You can easily activate Swish through your merchant portal

Adding Swish to your merchant account is incredibly simple. You don't need a separate agreement with your bank to access Swish; the entire process is managed through Surfboard Payments, just like card transactions.

Here's how to activate Swish:

1. Log in to your Merchant portal

Visit www.surfboardmerchant.com and then navigate to your settings.

Under the Settings page, you'll find these tabs: Profile, Company details, and Payment methods.

2. Activate Swish

Within the Payment Methods section, click on the "Activate Swish" button to automatically start the process.

Once Swish has been activated, it will appear in your terminals after a restart.

3. Accept payments with Swish

When accepting payments with Swish, your customers will need to enter their phone numbers, after which we will send a payment request to their Swish app. You simply need to input the customer's phone number during the purchase and then ask the customer to open their Swish app. We collaborate with Svea Bank AB on this process, but we handle the flow, so you only need to stay in touch with us. This also clarifies the recipient's name.

Note: We are working to release an update where customers can choose to scan a Swish QR code on the terminal instead of having to enter their phone number. We will notify you when this update is available.
