How do I activate Swish?

You can easily activate Swish through your merchant portal

Adding Swish to your merchant account is incredibly simple. You don't need a separate agreement with your bank to access Swish; the entire process is managed through Surfboard Payments, just like card transactions.

Here's how to activate Swish:

1. Log in to your Merchant portal

Visit www.surfboardmerchant.com and then navigate to your settings.

Under the Settings page, you'll find these tabs: Profile, Company details, and Payment methods.

2. Activate Swish

Within the Payment Methods section, click on the "Activate Swish" button to automatically start the process.

Once Swish has been activated, it will appear in your terminals after a restart.

3. Accept payments with Swish

When accepting payments with Swish, your customers can effortlessly scan a QR code using their Swish app at the terminal. As a fallback option, we provide an input field for the customer’s phone number during the purchase process. If they are unable to use their phone’s camera—perhaps due to a malfunction—they can simply enter their number and then open their Swish app to complete the transaction. We collaborate with Northmill Bank AB and Svea Bank AB to streamline this process; however, you only need to coordinate with us. This ensures that the recipient’s name is clearly displayed during the transaction.
