Note: This guide applies only to merchants who manage their product catalog directly in the Surfboard Merchant portal. If you use a POS or inventory system provided by a partner product management is handled externally, and you should continue managing your products through that system.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Go to the Products page
Log in to your Surfboard Merchant portal and navigate to Products from the left-hand menu.
2. Click “Import CSV”
You’ll find this button at the top right of the Products view.
3. Upload your CSV file
Drag and drop your file or click to browse.
Only .csv format is supported.
4. Map your data fields
The portal will try to automatically match your column headers with Surfboard’s product fields. You can make changes here. Required fields are:

Product Name
-
Selling Price
Other optional fields you can map include:

Description
-
Cost Price
-
Category
-
Product Images (URL)
-
Unit
-
Vendor
- And more...
5. Preview the products
The system will show you a live preview of the first few products. Use this to verify that your data is correct.
6. Select products to import
You can choose to import all products or select only a few from the list.
7. Confirm and import
Click Import. A progress bar will appear and show you the number of products being created. Once complete, you’ll see your new products listed in the portal.
Tips for Success:

Make sure your column headers are clear and descriptive.

Use correct formatting for prices and image URLs.

You can re-upload and re-map if you make a mistake.
