How do I filter transaction on specific dates?

Within the sales overview page, you will find various pre-set date filters such as last 7 days, last month, current month, and a "Custom date" option. By selecting "Custom date," a calendar view will appear where you can select your desired date range by clicking twice - first for the "from-date" and then for the "to-date." If you want to filter for just one specific day, simply double-click on that date.
